The purpose of the Adopt A Bus Shelter (AABS) program is to develop a system of safe, accessible, and clean bus shelters so that transit riders can get to work, school, and critical community appointments.

Some of the benefits of being an AABS organization include:

  • A framed AABS certificate suitable for displaying in your lobby.
  • A small sign in the bus shelter(s) you have adopted, letting riders know of your commitment.
  • Acknowledgement of your participation in AABS on the Friends of Transit website with a link back to your organization.
  • Acknowledgement of your involvement in media released and public communications.
  • The satisfaction of knowing you are enhancing the ridership experience and presenting a good public transit to the community.
